I stayed in Manchester for 6 months doing Erasmus and I can just say that it is a great city! It offers everything you need as a student and it is a lot more affordable than London. As Manchester is not really a tourist city, it is dominated by students. You are basically never short of things to do – especially when it comes to nightlife. Mancunian accent is quite hard to understand in the beginning, but you will get used to it very quickly. I think Manchester fulfils the title “second capital of the UK”. Cheers, mates!
